A youth named Amit risked his own life to save a young woman from drowning in a river. He jumped into the water and rescued her safely. Following this act of bravery, the district Superintendent of Police (SP) rewarded and honored him.
According to eyewitnesses, a young woman suddenly fell into the river and was being swept away by the strong current. While people on the bank were screaming for help, Amit jumped into the river without a second thought. Fighting the strong current, he managed to pull her back to safety.
To honor Amit's heroic deed, a ceremony was organized at the SP's office. The SP personally handed over a crest and rewards to Amit. During the event, the SP stated that Amit's selfless act of risking his life to save another is highly commendable.
Since the incident, local residents have been hailing Amit as a hero. Many are also praising him on social media. Amit expressed that it is everyone's duty to help people in danger, and he simply did what he felt was right.
