15 million people perform Umrah in three months

The crowd of pilgrims performing Umrah in the holy city of Mecca is increasing day by day. Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that nearly 15 million people from around the world performed Umrah in the first three months of the current season. Muslims from different countries gathered at the Grand Mosque in Mecca to perform Tawaf and offer prayers.

The Umrah season commenced right after the start of the new Hijri year. The Saudi government stated that the Umrah process has been significantly simplified this time. Notably, pilgrims can easily obtain Umrah permits online through the 'Nusuk' app. Additionally, individuals arriving on tourist visas are now permitted to perform Umrah.

The Saudi administration has taken special measures to ensure the safety and service of this massive number of pilgrims. Thousands of workers are operating round the clock to maintain cleanliness and order at the Grand Mosque in Mecca. Furthermore, public transport and train services have been expanded to ease the travel of pilgrims.

As part of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 plan, the country aims to host an even larger number of Umrah pilgrims. Officials expect the number of visitors to multiply in the coming days, especially during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.
