PM inaugurates Navy and Air Force Selection Board

The Prime Minister has inaugurated the Navy and Air Force Selection Board (2024) for the promotion of officers. Joining the event virtually at the headquarters in Dhaka, the Prime Minister officially declared the board open. During the address, the Prime Minister praised the role of the armed forces in safeguarding the country's security and sovereignty.

Through this selection board, qualified officers of the Navy and Air Force will be chosen for their next promotions. The government has taken various steps to modernize the armed forces. As part of this, capable leadership is identified through this board every year. This year, special emphasis is being placed on the efficiency and honesty of the officers.

At the event, the Prime Minister stated that the Navy and Air Force are always ready to protect the country's independence and sovereignty. While promoting officers, their patriotism, honesty, and leadership qualities must be thoroughly verified. The Prime Minister urged to select the most qualified individuals, rising above personal preferences.

Once the selection board completes its process, the qualified officers will assume their new responsibilities. Defense experts believe that choosing the right and competent leadership will further accelerate the pace of the forces' work.
