Akhtar Hossain appointed as new DMP spokesperson

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Akhtar Hossain has been appointed as the new spokesperson for the Media and Public Relations Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). From now on, he will represent the DMP and share official police statements with the media. The decision was confirmed in a recent official order from the DMP headquarters.

Following his appointment to this key position, Akhtar Hossain will begin his duties at the DMP Media Center. He succeeds the outgoing spokesperson. This division plays a vital role in maintaining direct communication with journalists to ensure transparency and accountability in police activities.

The DMP media wing is primarily responsible for informing the public about the capital's law and order situation, arrests of criminals, and various police operations. As the new spokesperson, Akhtar Hossain is expected to further strengthen the relationship between the police and the media.
