Former President Ershad's wife Bidisha arrested by police

Police have arrested Bidisha, the second wife of former President Hussain Muhammad Ershad. She was detained from Ershad's residence, 'President Park', located in Baridhara, Dhaka. The operation was conducted by Gulshan police. Authorities stated that the action was taken based on a case filed by Ershad.

According to the police, former President Ershad himself filed the case against Bidisha at Gulshan Police Station. The lawsuit accuses her of stealing money and valuable items from the house. Family disputes between the couple had been ongoing for some time, eventually leading to police investigation and arrest.

The arrest of Bidisha has sparked widespread discussion in the Baridhara area. Her supporters have claimed the arrest is unjust.
