Member of Parliament (MP) Sarwar has issued a strong warning against extortion and harassment of common people in Fatikchhari, Chittagong. He declared that anyone wishing to run extortion rackets in the area would have to do so over his dead body. He vowed to take a zero-tolerance stance against criminal activities to maintain peace and order.
Recently, allegations of extortion from local businesses and transport sectors in various parts of Fatikchhari had surfaced. Certain groups were reportedly harassing locals for money. In response to these growing concerns, MP Sarwar held an emergency meeting with local administration and political leaders to address the issue directly.
Local businessmen and residents have expressed relief following the MP's strong stance. They shared that influential groups had been disrupting their businesses for a long time. With the MP's direct intervention, they hope peace will be restored. Meanwhile, the local police have initiated drives to arrest the culprits.
