The Agriculture Minister has assured that there is no fertilizer crisis in the country. He stated that farmers have nothing to fear as government warehouses currently hold significantly more fertilizer than the actual demand. This stock can easily meet the country's needs for the next four months.
According to ministry data, there is an adequate stock of all types of fertilizers, including Urea, TSP, DAP, and MOP. All preparations have been made to ensure that farmers can easily purchase fertilizer during this cultivation season. The government is regularly monitoring the import and supply situation.
The Minister warned that strict action would be taken against any dealer or seller attempting to create an artificial crisis to charge higher prices. Field-level officers have been directed to regularly monitor the fertilizer market.
The government expects good crop production this season due to the adequate supply of fertilizer. Transportation systems have also been kept active to deliver fertilizer to farmers on time, which officials believe will further strengthen the country's food security.
