Four food establishments fined for preparing food in unhygienic conditions

A mobile court has fined four well-known food establishments in Dhaka for preparing food in dirty and unhygienic conditions. The special drive was conducted by the administration to ensure food safety for the public. The fines were imposed after officials found dirty kitchens and rotten, stale food stored in the establishments.

Officials conducting the drive stated that this was part of their regular monitoring process. During the inspection, it was found that the businesses were preparing food in highly unhygienic spaces and storing raw and cooked food together in the same refrigerator. Consequently, the four establishments were fined a significant amount, which was collected on the spot.

Following the drive, officials emphasized that no one would be allowed to play with public health. Preparing food in dirty environments can cause stomach ailments and other serious health complications. Meanwhile, the owners of the fined establishments admitted their mistakes and promised to improve their hygiene standards quickly.

The administration announced that such drives will continue in the future to ensure safe food for general citizens. They warned that no negligence would be tolerated. At the same time, consumers have been advised to remain cautious and aware when purchasing food.
