Deputy Commissioner Aktar Hossain Appointed as New DMP Spokesperson

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Aktar Hossain has been appointed as the new spokesperson for the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). He will serve as the head of the DMP's Media and Public Relations Division. From now on, he will present all official information and statements of the DMP to the media.

According to police headquarters and DMP sources, this transfer and posting decision was announced in a recent official order signed by the DMP Commissioner. Aktar Hossain has previously served efficiently in various important departments of the police. In this new role, he succeeds the outgoing spokesperson.

The Media Division of the DMP works to disseminate information to the public regarding the law and order situation in the capital, the arrest of criminals, and various service-oriented activities of the police. It is expected that under the new spokesperson, this department will become more dynamic, making it easier for journalists to access information.

Upon receiving the responsibility, the new spokesperson stated that his main goal would be to ease the flow of information between the police and the public. He sought everyone's cooperation to maintain transparency in police activities by delivering accurate information on time.
