UNO cleans roadside bushes in Barishal

The Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) in Barishal has taken an initiative to clean the bushes on both sides of the road to keep it safe and clean. Due to the overgrown bushes at the road bends, minor and major accidents occurred frequently. To solve this issue, the UNO himself joined the cleaning work with tools.

Local residents reported that the roadside bushes had grown so large that they partially blocked the road. As a result, drivers could not see oncoming traffic clearly, especially at night. In response to this situation, the local administration decided to clear the bushes immediately.

Local youths and residents joined the UNO in this cleanliness drive. Together, they cleared the overgrown vegetation along the road. The UNO stated that this drive would not only make the roads safer but also help prevent the spread of diseases like dengue. Locals highly appreciated the initiative.

The administration announced that such cleanliness drives will be conducted regularly. Along with keeping the roads clean, they urged the public to remain aware and responsible. Officials believe that collective awareness can keep the area clean and safe.
