A theft has occurred at the ancestral home of popular actor Fazlur Rahman Babu in Boalmari, Faridpur. The incident took place at his family home in Dobra village of the upazila sometime during the night. Taking advantage of the empty house, thieves broke the locks and entered the premises.
According to local sources, actor Fazlur Rahman Babu and his family members usually reside in Dhaka. The village home remains vacant most of the time. On the night of the incident, the thieves tactfully broke the locks, ransacked the wardrobes, and fled with valuable belongings.
Upon discovering the theft, local residents informed the police. A team from the Boalmari Police Station quickly visited the spot. Police mentioned that the household items were found scattered, and they are currently assessing what exactly was stolen.
The incident has caused a stir in the area, leaving local residents concerned about the security of vacant village homes. Police stated that they have launched an investigation to identify the thieves and will soon bring the culprits to justice.
