A major clash broke out between supporters of Jamaat-e-Islami and the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) over establishing political dominance at the Pallabi Bihari Camp in Mirpur, Dhaka. The incident involved chases, counter-chases, and stone-pelting, creating severe tension and panic among the local residents.
According to eyewitnesses, the altercation began with an argument over a local issue between activists of both parties, which quickly escalated into violence. Supporters from both sides, armed with sticks, attacked each other, leaving several injured who are now receiving treatment at local hospitals.
