Newborn Handed Over to Wrong Family at Comilla Hospital, Sparks Outrage

A newborn baby was mistakenly handed over to the wrong family due to extreme negligence by nurses at Comilla General Hospital. The incident triggered intense tension and commotion on the hospital premises. The victim's family alleged that after delivery, the nurses handed the baby over to another couple without their knowledge. Upon realizing the mistake, the hospital authorities quickly intervened to retrieve and return the baby to the biological mother.

According to hospital sources, two women gave birth in the maternity ward yesterday morning. Due to a mix-up, the duty nurses handed over one family's newborn to the relatives of the other family. While the other family was preparing to take the baby home, the biological parents realized their baby was missing and broke down in tears, sparking anger among other patients and visitors.

As soon as the matter came to light, the hospital administration took swift action. They contacted the family who had mistakenly taken the baby and asked them to return to the hospital. About two hours later, the family returned with the infant. The baby was then handed back to the biological parents in the presence of hospital officials. The nurses on duty have been served show-cause notices over the incident.

Although the victim's family expressed relief at getting their baby back, they voiced deep anger over the hospital's irresponsible behavior. They demanded a proper investigation and exemplary punishment for those responsible. The hospital authorities stated that security and monitoring in the maternity ward will be strengthened to prevent such sensitive mistakes in the future.
