Picchi Hannan's Associate 'Killer Masud' Arrested After 19 Years on the Run

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested 'Killer Masud', a close associate of the once-notorious Dhaka underworld don Picchi Hannan. Masud had been on the run for 19 years, using various aliases and frequently changing his location to evade law enforcement. A special team of RAB finally tracked him down and placed him under arrest.

According to law enforcement sources, Masud went into hiding shortly after Picchi Hannan was killed in 2004. He faces multiple charges across various police stations in Dhaka, including murder, extortion, and illegal arms possession. Despite continuous efforts by the police to capture him, he managed to stay off the radar by constantly changing his identity.

RAB officials stated that they received a tip-off regarding Masud living under a false identity in a specific neighborhood. After placing the area under surveillance, the team conducted a raid and apprehended him. During initial interrogation, Masud confessed to his real identity and shared details about his past criminal activities.

The arrested criminal is currently being handed over to the local police station. Authorities have confirmed that the investigation into his past cases will be revived, and they plan to present him in court to seek a remand for further questioning. Police hope this arrest will shed light on unsolved cases from Dhaka's criminal past.
